Enrolling at the College
Students enrolling at our College from local Primary Schools (Grade 6) should follow the enrol process through your Primary School. Castlemaine Secondary College has a comprehensive and fun orientation program. For further information contact your Primary School office or the College Transition Coordinator, on (03) 5479 1111.
If you are interested in enrolling at Castlemaine Secondary College other than from a local Primary School into year 7, you will need to contact the College and arrange an appointment. We would be pleased to send out an information pack to any prospective students and parents. The College conducts an Open Day annually and is happy to run personal tours of the campus for individual parents by appointment only. Please call (03) 5479 1111 to arrange a time.
Camps, Sports & Excursions Fund (CSEF)
School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors, excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works and sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. All are part of a healthy curriculum. CSEF will be provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities. If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families.
The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child. The annual CSEF amount per student is: • $125 for primary school students • $225 for secondary school students. (* correct at the time of writing but may chance)
HOW TO APPLY Contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or download from www.education.vic.gov.au/csef
